How Do I Know if I Qualify for Disability Benefits?

Posted by Samantha Hatcher | Aug 05, 2024 | 0 Comments

To qualify for benefits you (1) must have a condition that has lasted or is expected to last for at least one year or a condition that is terminal (2) must not be currently working at a SGA level- for 2024, this amount is $1550 gross monthly. From there Social Security will determine if your condition(s) meet a listing, if you can do the work you have done in the past and if there is any other work that you can do.

If you have an impairment or combination of impairments that significantly limits your ability to work you could be eligible for benefits. We offer consultations at no cost to you and if we accept your case, you do not have to pay us unless we win (with the exception of out of pocket expenses furnished up front by the law firm).
